Exportar 2023 Award
In an event of transcendental importance for the Argentine business and export sector, the renowned company Pietrelli Fruit was awarded the coveted Exportar 2023 Award in the "Cuyo Region Export Ambassador" category. The ceremony, held at the majestic Palacio San Martín, was attended by Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero, who led the event together with the Argentine Foreign Ministry and the Argentine Agency for Investment and International Trade (AAICI).
This recognition is awarded annually in its 28th edition to outstanding companies for their significant contribution to the country's export activity. On this occasion, Pietrelli Fruit stood out among 10 other Argentine companies, consolidating its position as a benchmark in the field of exports.
In his speech, Chancellor Cafiero ratified the government's commitment to continue strengthening the State's export policy, regardless of political changes. He stressed the importance of finding a stable balance, respecting the diversity of voices and experiences, and working together to build a solid and specific public policy on exports for Argentina.
Cafiero stressed the need for a strong domestic market, pointing out that without it, the possibilities of export development are compromised. He emphasized that the Argentina of the future needs everyone's collaboration, backed by a stronger AAICI than ever, setting the pace of a State policy focused on value-added exports.
The Secretary of International Economic Relations, Cecilia Todesca Bocco, shared her enthusiasm for working with leading companies, mentioning that each meeting with them drives improvements in public policies and strengthens Argentina's position as a powerful country.
Juan Usandivaras, Executive President of AAICI, expressed his gratitude to all the Argentine companies that rely on the agency. He highlighted the constant growth and evolution of the universe of value-added exporting companies, which ship an average of USD 20 billion a year to the world. He also expressed his gratitude for the joint work with the technical teams of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, highlighting their great professionalism.
The event was attended by distinguished business leaders and key trade officials, including Fernando Landa, president of the Argentine Chamber of Exporters (CERA), and Guillermo Merediz, undersecretary of Trade and Investment Promotion, among others.
The edition of the Exportar 2023 Awards recognized several companies in categories such as Goods and Services, Export Innovation, Ambassadors by Region, Export Associativism, Dynamic SME Exporters, among others. Pietrelli Fruit stood out in the category "Export Ambassador Cuyo Region", consolidating its position as a reference in the export of high quality products.
Pietrelli Fruit, a family company based in San Rafael, Mendoza province, has been distinguished for its outstanding work in the cultivation and export of D'Agen plums, as well as other dried and desiccated fruits. Its product portfolio includes raisins, plum puree and plum powder, and it has managed to reach more than 45 countries with an exportable supply in high demand.
The company, located in the department of San Rafael, has three state-of-the-art processing plants, certified to internationally recognized quality standards (BRC +AA and FSCC2200). Its network of integrated producers guarantees raw material traceability, uniform quality standards and corporate social responsibility.
The jury of the Exportar 2023 Award, composed of experts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Argentine Industrial Union (UIA), the Secretariat of Knowledge Economy of the Ministry of Economy, the Argentine Chamber of Medium-sized Companies (CAME) and the Argentine Chamber of Exporters (CERA), evaluated the actions and exports of Pietrelli Fruit from July 2022 to July 2023, recognizing its outstanding performance in promoting Argentina's exportable supply.
As the winner, Pietrelli Fruit will have free access to a commercial space in a specific fair of its sector within AAICI's annual calendar 2024. In addition, it will have a prominent position in Export Argentina, the directory of Argentina's exportable supply.
This recognition not only highlights Pietrelli Fruit's excellence as an Export Ambassador for the Cuyo Region, but also its contribution to the growth and diversification of Argentine exports.
